MELAdem 40: Replacement of Cartridges / Filter: Replacing the MELAdem 40 cartridges: The water treatment system MELAdem 40 ensures the supply with demineralized water of the autoclave.
Learn how to replace the MELAdem 40 cartridges quickly and easily in your clinic and practice. MELAdem 40 enables the inexpensive production of high-quality feed water to supply the autoclaves.
During each sterilization, the conductivity of the deionized water is checked and a warning message is issued if the quality is poor. In case of a warning message, the two mixed bed resin cartridges should be replaced. Please observe the following process when replacing the MELAdem 40 cartridges:
1. Before replacing the cartridge, the water tap of the supply line must be closed.
2. Start the Universal-Program and stop it after approx. 20 seconds.
3. Now you can open the cartridge containers with the key in the housing cover of the MELAdem 40.
4. The remaining water in the cartridge container can be poured into the drain. The cartridge can be disposed in the household waste.
5. Insert the new cartridge into the rinsed cartridge container and screw it tight. 6. Repeat the process for the second mixed bed resin cartridge.
After checking the autoclave and water treatment for leaks, you can start sterilizing the instruments.
