Dentistry, oral surgery and implantology - newly established at medicum - Wiesbaden. With the aim of setting new standards in patient care, we established ourselves in the largest specialist center in the region in mid-2012. Our concept is based on many years of practical experience combined with innovative treatment methods. Through regular training at congresses and our own scientific publications, we aim to use the latest findings for our patient care.
The focus is on the patient and not the practice
The new establishment at medicum was implemented with well thought-out practice planning and professional consultants from Pluradent. In realizing the structural and technical requirements, we were able to implement our ideas for optimal patient treatment were implemented. All procedures and processes should be geared towards the greatest possible sense of well-being, safety and quality of treatment (including with the help of 3D diagnostics using DVT). In addition to diagnosis and treatment with state-of-the-art digital dentistry, infection control must also be at the highest level. Based on this demand for quality and professionalism, we decided to reprocess all instruments in a thermal disinfector with active drying (MELAtherm 10 from MELAG), to reprocess semi-critical transmission instruments in the DAC Universal and to sterilize all critical, invasive and surgical instruments packaged in the Vacuklav 40 B+ from MELAG.
The advantages of reprocessing with a thermodisinfector lie in the significant time savings and the protection of the practice team against infections and puncture injuries
With the exception of the removal of coarse dental materials, pre-treatment or placing the instruments in disinfection trays is no longer necessary. The instruments can be placed dry in the washer-disinfector and removed dry after approx. 50 minutes. On particularly long days with up to 60 patients a day, the autoclave and washer-disinfector are used up to 3 times a day. The practical concept and simple operation of the devices are a great advantage.
The decision to use professional devices for reprocessing our instruments proved to be the right one. All the devices work very reliably - also thanks to the good technical support from the Pluradent staff.
