Redesign and New Construction
"Our goal was to provide the best possible care and protection for our patients in a dental practice where they can feel comfortable." This was the guiding principle behind the redesign of our dental practice under the leadership of Maryam Taleh. After 30 years of independent practice, Peter Laband handed over the practice management in July 2017 to continue working as a dentist within the team. The transition provided an opportunity to modernize the practice, and it reopened in September 2017 at Gänsemarkt with a fresh new design, focusing on aesthetic dentistry.
We specialize in aesthetic dentistry and offer a wide range of treatments, with additional emphasis on implantology, endodontics, and periodontology.
Choosing MELAG's System Solution
After extensive construction work and modernization of the practice premises, we turned our attention to the redesign of the sterilization room. It was essential for us to save time in our workflow while increasing safety for both patients and the team. By implementing a system solution - having all the equipment for the entire reprocessing cycle from a single manufacturer - we easily achieved these goals. The premium-class autoclave Vacuklav 40 B+ for sterilization, the sealing device MELAseal 200 for instrument packaging, and the thermal disinfector MELAtherm 10 for cleaning and disinfection work together to provide secure and efficient interlocking processes.
Advantages of Mechanical Reprocessing
We decided to invest in a reprocessing device (RDG) after previously manually cleaning and disinfecting our instruments. The use of MELAtherm brings significant ease of work and improved protection against infections for our specialized staff in instrument reprocessing. Short process times, ergonomic operation of the thermal disinfector, and its excellent cleaning and drying results create a positive atmosphere in the sterile room. The size of the cleaning chamber is optimal - a perfect fit for our practice. Integrated features such as rinse pressure monitoring and rotation speed control of the spray arms prove to be very helpful in operating the device correctly, saving resources, and achieving ideal cleaning results. Mechanical reprocessing provides us with more time for our patients, especially since pre-disinfection is no longer necessary with MELAtherm.
